IND vs SA: The second match of the three ODI series against South Africa was played in Ranchi. Team India performed brilliantly and won by 7 wickets. Batting first, South Africa scored 278 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. In reply, Team India registered a victory thanks to the brilliant batting of Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan and took the series 1-1. Mohammad Siraj bowled brilliantly for Team India. He took three wickets in 10 overs spending only 38 runs. However, during the match, Mohammad Siraj had to face a strange situation once.
Actually, Mohammad Siraj was bowling in the 48th over. There was then an easy opportunity to run out David Miller at the non-striker’s end, but Siraj hit a far throw. The batsman was not out, on the contrary, the team had to pay 4 runs as over throw. Siraj then argued with the on-field umpires for a dead ball, but to no avail. The reason being this was a deliberate throw from the Indian fast bowler, in which the African team got four runs.
IND vs SA: 3rd ODI in Delhi
Siraj made a brilliant comeback in the 50th over and dismissed Keshav Maharaj for just three runs. So this match went well for Siraj. He could not take any wicket in the first ODI and proved costly but proved his worth with an impressive spell in Ranchi. Now the third and last ODI of the series will be played in Delhi on Tuesday (October 11). Let us tell you, this series is being played under the captaincy of Shikhar Dhawan. The team led by Rohit Sharma has gone to Australia where the T20 World Cup is to be played at the end of this month.
