New Delhi: In the T20 World Cup 2022, India will start its campaign by playing a match against Pakistan (IND vs PAK) on 23rd October. This match will be played at Melbourne Cricket Ground, Australia. However, a few hours before this match, the Pakistan team has suffered a major setback. Pakistan’s star batsman Fakhar Zaman is still injured and will not be part of the squad for the match against India.
Pakistan captain Babar Azam has given information about the fitness of Fakhar Zaman. Babar Azam said, “Fakhar Zaman is recovering from injury. He is not completely well yet. Fakhar will not be available for the match against India. He has every chance of playing the rest of the group stage matches.”

Let us tell you that Fakhar Zaman was injured after the Asia Cup. Fakhar was not even selected by Pakistan in the first 15 players of the World Cup. But, on October 14, Pakistan changed the team and gave Fakhar a place in the team. After which he went straight to Australia from England.
Talking about Fakhar’s record against India, it has been quite spectacular. Fakhar Zaman’s brilliant century helped Pakistan defeat India in the 2017 Champions Trophy final. However, Fakhar Zaman’s performance in the Asia Cup was nothing special. At present, it is a matter of relief for Pakistan that their star batsman Shan Masood is now fully fit and will be available for the match against India.
