Indore: Two visually-challenged men, who had come to witness the India vs New Zealand 3rd ODI match in Indore on Tuesday, were stopped by policemen from entering along with their assistants for want of sufficient tickets. However, both the visually impaired, who are obsessed with batsman Virat Kohli, were allowed to enter along with their assistants after some time on humanitarian grounds. Eyewitnesses told that during the India-New Zealand match, Ashish Chauhan and Abhishek Namdev had reached Holkar Stadium with their two assistants.

Chauhan’s sister Anjali told “PTI-Bhasha”, “My brother had bought a ticket for the match, but I was stopped from accompanying him to the stadium, saying that only one person would be allowed to enter on one ticket.” According to eyewitnesses, the assistants of both the visually impaired persons narrated their problems to the senior police officers present on the spot, after which all of them were allowed to enter the stadium.
