New Delhi: A three-match ODI series is going to be played between India and Bangladesh from Sunday. Rohit Sharma and company reached Bangladesh for this series. Ahead of the series, Indian captain Rohit Sharma and Bangladesh captain Liton Das unveiled the ODI series trophy on the eve of the first ODI at SBNCS, Mirpur.

It is known that before this series starting from Sunday, both India and Bangladesh teams have suffered a big setback. India’s experienced fast bowler Mohammed Shami has been injured. Because of this he is out of the series. Now Umran Malik has been included in the team in his place. On the other hand, Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal has also been ruled out of the series due to injury. Because of this, the captaincy of Bangladesh will now be handled by opener Liton Das.

Liton Das has been appointed as the 15th captain of Bangladesh in ODIs. Liton has been handed over the captaincy after Tamim Iqbal was ruled out of the series. Earlier in the year 2021 also, Liton captained Bangladesh in T20 cricket against New Zealand.
Liton Das played a blistering inning in the recently played T20 World Cup 2022 match against India. He attracted everyone’s attention by playing an inning of 60 runs in just 27 balls.
