Where 3 half-centuries (Cheteshwar Pujara 90 runs, Shreyas Iyer 86 runs and Ravichandran Ashwin 58 runs) were scored in the first innings, the bowlers also did wonders. In bowling, Kuldeep Iyer took 4 wickets, while Mohammad Siraj took 3 wickets. The game of the first session of the third day is said to be important. If Team India wraps up Bangladesh’s first innings, the match will be completely up for grabs. The pitch here was being described as batting friendly, but Bangladesh’s batting and bowling have failed so far.
Excellent performance by Kuldeep Yadav
Kuldeep Yadav has performed all-round in this Test so far. Kuldeep, playing his first Test after more than 22 months, did wonders with the first bat. Kuldeep had celebrated his 28th birthday a day earlier. Batting at number nine, the left-handed batsman shared a 92-run eight-wicket partnership with Ravichandran Ashwin, which is now paying off for Team India.
