New Delhi: Australia’s star opener David Warner will not be able to play in the remaining match of the second Test being played here against India (India vs Australia) due to injury. Matthew Renshaw has been included in his place in the playing XI. On the opening day of the match on Friday, in the 10th over of Australia’s innings, Mohammed Siraj’s ball hit Warner on the head.

According to a statement issued by Cricket Australia, “Warner will now return following his playing protocol before the third Test in Indore as per the guidelines of Cricket Australia.” After the end of the first day’s play, fellow opener Usman Khawaja said Warner was “feeling a bit tired”.
