ICC T20I Batsmen Rankings: The International Cricket Council has announced its final list before the T20 World Cup. The race for the top rank in the batting list has intensified. Mohammad Rizwan has maintained his lead firmly. Both Suryakumar Yadav and Bahar Azam remain at number 2 and 3 as per the latest rankings. New Zealand’s Devon Conway is the new player in the list. He has reached the top 5.
Devon Conway’s rank improved
Till now the tussle between Suryakumar Yadav and Babar Azam continues. Devon Conway has overtaken Australian player Aaron Finch and England’s David Malan. He played a brilliant innings of 70 against Bangladesh and 49 against Pakistan. This innings raised Devon Conway’s rating to 760 points. South African all-rounder Aiden Markram remains at the fourth rank with 777 rating points.
Ranking will change after T20 World Cup
Pakistan batsman Mohammad Rizwan started the tri-series with 78 runs against Bangladesh but could not maintain the same performance in the other matches of the series. Right now Suryakumar Yadav and Rizwan are 15 points away from each other. Babar Azam and Suryakumar are 30 points away from each other. This equation will change completely in the T20 World Cup, as all the players will give their best.
