Men’s Hockey World Cup, 2023 is going to start in Odisha from 13th of this month. In this season, teams from 16 countries of the world will take the field. A total of 16 country teams participating in the World Cup are divided into 4 pools. India is in Pool D along with England, Spain and Wales. Australia, Argentina, France and South Africa are the teams in Pool-A. Pool B consists of Belgium, Germany, Korea and Japan. Pool-C are Netherlands, New Zealand, Malaysia and Chile. All the matches will be played from 13 January 2023 to 29 January 2023 at Kalinga Stadium, Bhuvaneshwar and Birsa Munda Stadium, Rourkela in Odisha.
Significantly, at present the Indian team is at the fifth position in the world rankings. And that’s it, this time India is the host country of the World Cup tournament, the Indian team has qualified directly.
