Shreyas Iyer was bought by Delhi Daredevils in the 2015 IPL for Rs 2.60 crore. He did not disappoint this franchise. Iyer created panic that season by scoring more than 400 runs. After this season, he was discussed fiercely. The next few years he played for Delhi in the IPL and became the captain in 2018.
Fourth fastest century in T20 cricket
Shreyas Iyer is included in the list of players who have scored the fastest century in T20 format for India. Iyer holds the record for a 37-ball century in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Iyer’s father wants to see him playing Test cricket. At last he fulfilled his father’s dream. Making his debut against New Zealand at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur in November 2021, Iyer scored a century in the first innings, scoring 105 runs. He did not stop at this, he scored a half-century in his second innings as well. After which he became the first Indian batsman to score a century and a half-century in a debut match.
