Father died at the age of 5, childhood spent in poverty
Bumrah’s childhood had gone through a lot of difficulties. Bumrah was only 5 years old when his father passed away. After which the responsibility of Bumrah and his sister Juhika fell on the shoulders of their mother. Bumrah’s childhood was spent in such poverty that he used to have only a T-shirt, which he used to wash every day so that he could wear it the next day. Despite this, he did not give up and kept on fighting to fulfill his dream.

Told mother his desire to become a cricketer
When Bumrah turned 14, he first expressed his desire to become a cricketer to his mother. His selection process was like a movie story, when one day the selectors gave him a chance after watching him play. After playing for the Gujarat team, Bumrah got a chance to play in the IPL. Bumrah’s mother Daljeet says that when she saw her son on TV, she could not hold back her tears.
