During the raids being conducted against liquor, the team of the Product Department got a big success on Thursday evening. On the basis of secret information, a smuggler carrying foreign liquor worth two lakh rupees from Jharkhand to Khagaria by making a cellar in a magic vehicle has been arrested near Chakai checkpost. It is said that a cellar was kept inside the liquor smuggler vehicle in which 104 bottles of special brand and 528 bottles of Imperial style brand were recovered. Means a total of 173.2 liters of English liquor has been recovered.
Along with this, a smuggler has also been arrested after seizing the magic vehicle. The arrested smuggler has been identified as Pintu Kumar, son of Mangal Sharma, resident of Maharath village under Sarbila police station area of Saharsa district. The product department is considering it a big success. This action has created a stir among the liquor smugglers. Product Superintendent Sanjeev Kumar Thakur said that there was information about smuggling of illegal liquor from Jharkhand via Jamui. On the basis of the information, a team of the Product Department was formed. After that raid was done at Chakai check post.
During this, a total of 173.2 liters of English liquor of different brands has been recovered from the basement made in a magic vehicle and a smuggler has also been arrested. Who is being questioned. After completing the paperwork, he will be sent to jail. He has instructed the personnel of the excise department to conduct a thorough investigation at all the checkposts against liquor. Excise Inspector Subhash Kumar, ASI Sunil Kumar, Home Guard Gautam Kumar of Chakai Check Post, Sanjay Singh and other excise constables were present in the raid.
