    Heavy rain continues in Tamil Nadu

    Heavy rains are continuing in the southern states of the country, especially Tamil Nadu. According to the Meteorological Department, there is no chance of respite from the heavy rains so far. IMD has issued heavy rain alert in Tamil Nadu. It is raining here due to the activity of Northeast Monsoon. Due to this, normal life has come to a standstill. The situation is that due to heavy rains, the gates of the dam had to be opened, due to which a flood alert has been issued in Theni, Dindigul, Madurai, Sivaganga and Ramanathapuram districts of Tamil Nadu.

    An additional 4,230 cubic feet of water was released from the Vaigai dam in Theni, raising the risk of flooding. Heavy rains are continuing in Tamil Nadu’s capital Chennai and there is a situation of congestion. Due to heavy rains, water from Chitlapakkam lake has entered the residential areas of Tambaram.

    Why the weather pattern in Tamil Nadu changed?

    The Meteorological Department i.e. IMD has issued an alert of heavy rain. The IMD has warned that the weather pattern has changed due to anticyclonic conditions i.e. anti cyclone and there is no sign of improvement in the situation. The Meteorological Department has warned fishermen not to venture into the sea.

    Heavy rain warning for next 24 hours in Chennai

    In fact, this year the record of heavy rains in Chennai has been broken for the last 30 years. It is also raining in Ramanathapuram, Cuddalore, Villupuram and several coastal areas of the state. There is also a possibility of lightning with heavy to very heavy rain in the next 24 hours in Chennai city and adjoining areas. Orange alert continues for the city in the next 24 hours.
