    DU Admission: Online admission process for admission in SOL will start from today, this is the admission criteria

    The wait is over for the students who want to take admission in Delhi University’s School of Open Learning (SOL). The online application process for admission to the old undergraduate courses running under SOL and the new courses started under the Department of Distance and Continuing Education is going to start from today (October 5). At the same time, the application process for admission in MBA will start from October 7. Admission to undergraduate courses will be on the basis of class XII score. Scores of Common University Entrance Test will not be taken as basis.

    Like last year, the admission process is completely online. Students also have to pay the fees online. In the old courses, students will be able to take admission in SOL even after passing only in class XII (33 percent marks). These include BA Programme, BCom, BCom Hons, BA Honors English, BA Honors Political Science. While the educational qualifications for BA Honors Economics, BBA (Financial Investment Analysis, BMS (Bachelor of Management Studies), Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLISc) being introduced this year are different.

    For admission in BBA-FIA, minimum 65 percent marks in 12th and 60 percent marks in maths are required. Whereas for admission in BMS, it is mandatory to have 60 percent marks in 12th and 60 percent marks in maths also. For BA Honors Economics, it is necessary to have 60 percent marks in 12th and have studied mathematics. Graduation for BLISC and minimum 50% marks in BLIAS for MLIS.

    MBA Admission Basis
    At least 50% marks in graduation is required. There are three categories for MBA. The marks of class XII will be given for 80 per cent weightage and 20 per cent for work experience. Two years of work experience will be required for a student wishing to go into the health sector. Group A Officers of the Government of India with experience in the Corporate Sector, Hospitality or their work.
