Demand: Prohibition on dumping dirty drain water in rivers

Dinesh Chandra Dwivedi, general secretary of Sita Aradhana Mandal, has objected to the dumping of water from the city’s dirty drain into the Lakhandei or Lakshmana river passing through the heart of the city. He has demanded the DM to intervene immediately in this matter. Said that the dirty water of the drains of Sitamarhi city is being dumped in this river. It is contaminating the clean water flowing in the river, and makes it contagious. Therefore, it should be stopped immediately or the dirty water of the city’s drains should be treated and discharged into the river. Said that the dirty water in the Lakshman river should not be thrown directly into the river and the garbage should not be dumped. In this direction, a meaningful effort and appropriate order should be issued by the DM.
