The air in Delhi-NCR is expected to improve within the next three days. Air Standards Agencies forecast that due to the onset of new rains, the air quality may improve. On the other hand, the air of NCR cities including Delhi has been recorded in the average category on Tuesday. The worst air level was in Faridabad with an AQI of 177.
According to the Centre’s air standards body Safar India, particles larger than 2.5 micrometers accounted for 63 per cent of PM10 on Tuesday. At the same time, in the last 24 hours, the level of PM 10 was recorded at 126 and the level of PM 2.5 was 50 micrograms per cubic meter.
It is forecast that the wind speed will be in the range of eight to 18 kilometers per hour for the next three days. At present, stubble smoke is recording negligible share in pollution and pollution coming from NCR is also not increasing the pollution of Delhi. Due to this, the pollution level in Delhi has remained in the average category due to the pollution occurring at the local level. However, when the rainy season begins, the pollutant particles will settle on the surface of the earth, which can lead to an improvement in air quality. However, after this period of rain stops, the phase of pollution will start as soon as the weather takes a turn.
According to the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), the level of mixing height on Tuesday was 1500 meters. At the same time, it can increase to 2200 meters in the next 24 hours. It is likely to reach 1600 meters by Thursday. At the same time, the level of ventilation index was 3200 square meters per second in the last 24 hours. By Wednesday, it can increase to 6500 and by Thursday it can decrease to 5500 square meters per second.
