Sri Lanka cricketer Danushka Gunathilaka: Sri Lanka’s cricket team was ruled out of the World Cup being played in Australia. The team left for their country, but the latest news is that before that one of its players was arrested by the Sydney Police. This player is Danushka Gunathilaka, who has been accused of rape. Danushka Gunathilaka was part of the Sri Lankan squad for the World Cup. Ho was injured before the World Cup and the team management included Asheen Bandara. However, Danushka Gunathilaka also remained with the team.

Earlier this week, a case of alleged sexual assault of a 29-year-old woman came to light in Rose Bay. Now on Sunday morning, Sydney Police arrested Gunathilaka. Police allege that 31-year-old Gunathilaka and the woman had a friendship on a dating app. Later the two met. After this the woman accused of rape.
Now the police will allege in the court that Gunathilaka sexually assaulted the woman on the evening of November 2. Gunathilaka was arrested shortly before 1 pm on Sunday at a hotel on Sussex Street in Sydney. He was taken to the Sydney City Police Station.
