Cleaners in tension: Most in Ward-7 and 8: Controversy over cleanliness between councilor-candidates in election environment

In the election environment, there is a clash between the outgoing councilors and the candidates for their intervention on the sanitation workers for the cleanliness of the streets. The most tense situation is coming to the fore in Ward-7 and 8.

Since the last few days, there is a dispute between outgoing councilor husband Santesh Kumar and candidate Rajneesh Bharti in ward number 7 regarding cleanliness in Anandpuri street. Similar is the situation in Malighat area.

The outgoing mayor and councilors have been removed from the official group of the Municipal Corporation. The Corporation Board and the Empowered Standing Committee were dissolved with the end of the term even before the commencement of the election process. Now the corporation administrator, city manager and cleaning in-charge have complete control over the sweepers.
