    Cheteshwar Pujara | Cheteshwar Pujara honored with ‘Arjuna Award’, tweeted thanks to BCCI and Anurag Thakur

    New Delhi: Indian batsman Cheteshwar Pujara has been honored with the prestigious award five years after he was recommended for the Arjuna Award. Pujara could not attend the award ceremony in 2017 due to his cricketing commitments.

    He finally got a chance to lift the trophy at the ‘hand over’ ceremony here on Saturday. After receiving the award from Sports Minister Anurag Thakur, he tweeted, “Thank you BCCI and Anurag Thakur for organizing this honor to hand over the Arjuna Awards. I could not take it that year due to my cricketing commitments. Honored and grateful for this.”
