Chandigarh University Case: Another arrest has been made in the Chandigarh University video leak case. The Punjab Police has also arrested the fourth accused. The fourth accused has been apprehended from Sela Pass in Arunachal Pradesh. The MMS incident took place at Chandigarh University, Mohali. In the Girls Hostel of Chandigarh University, there were allegations of making viral videos of more than 60 girl students taking a bath. Till now, three accused including the accused student had already been arrested in this case.

Fourth accused turned out to be military personnel

The fourth arrest in this case has surprised everyone. In the Chandigarh University MMS case, Punjab Police has arrested an army personnel from Arunachal Pradesh. The name of the arrested accused is Sanjeev Singh, who has been arrested from Selapas in Arunachal Pradesh. The accused Sanjeev has been brought to Mohali by the Punjab Police on transit remand. A total of 4 arrests have been made in this case so far.

Suspected of blackmailing the accused student
In the fourth arrest in the Chandigarh University case, Punjab Police on Saturday arrested an Army personnel posted in Arunachal Pradesh, Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav said. The DGP said that the arrested accused has been identified as Sanjeev Singh, who is suspected of blackmailing the accused student.

Women SIT is investigating the case
The development comes days after Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann ordered a high-level inquiry into the matter. A three-member all-women Special Investigation Team (SIT) was appointed under the supervision of Gurpreet Kaur Dev, ADGP, Department of Community Affairs and Department of Women’s Affairs, on the orders of the CM. DGP Gaurav Yadav said that on the basis of forensic and digital evidence, a police team from SAS Nagar was sent to Arunachal Pradesh to arrest the accused.

What is Chandigarh University MMS Scandal
A student studying in Chandigarh University, Mohali, Punjab, is accused of making a video viral of about 60 girl students taking a bath. He sent these videos to his friend living in Shimla, who made them viral on social media. The girl has been caught red handed while making a video from inside the girls bathroom in Chandigarh University.
