Pakistan’s deadly fast bowler Wahab Riaz created a new history in T20 Cricket in a match played in Bangladesh Premier League-2023 (BPL 2023) at Zahur Adam Chowdhury Stadium on Friday, 20 January. In this match, he completed the figure of 400 wickets in T20 cricket and became the first bowler of Pakistan to do so.
Significantly, in BPL 2023, Wahab Riaz, playing for Khulna Tigers, took 4 wickets in the match against Chittagong Challengers and touched the figure of 400 wickets.
With this, he became the sixth bowler to take 400 or more wickets in T20 cricket. In this case, Dwayne Bravo of West Indies on top with 614 wickets. Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan is on the second position with 496 wickets.
At number 3 is Sunil Narine with 474 wickets. After that comes the name of Imran Tahir with 466 wickets. Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan is at the 5th position, who has taken a total of 436 wickets so far. And, Wahab Riaz of Pakistan has reached the 6th position with 401 wickets.
He has become the first player in the history of Pakistan to do such a feat. The special thing is that he is also the second fast bowler in the world to get 400 wickets in T20 cricket.
