    When Lovlina Borgohain won a bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics, no one could have imagined that she would emerge from a small village in Assam to bring laurels to the country in the biggest sporting event. After that victory, Lovlina became the new star of boxing. She became a source of inspiration for many girls. Today (Sunday) is the 25th birthday of Lovlina.     Lovlina used to do kick boxing before joining boxing, in which she has also won medals at the national level. Actually, Lovlina started kickboxing after seeing her elder sisters Licha and Lima. In childhood, Lovlina had to face a lot of struggle.

    Lovlina’s father Tiken was a small businessman and earned Rs 1300 per month. The road to the Olympics from Assam was not that easy. But this boxer showed that if nothing was difficult in front of courage and passion.

    Once Lovlina’s father had brought Tiken sweets. Later, Lovlina saw the newspaper in which he had wrapped the sweets. It was written about the famous boxer Mohammad Ali. Reading about Muhammad Ali, Lovlina’s desire to become a boxer arose in her mind.

    Kick-boxing lover Lovlina was tried for the Sports Authority of India (SAI) in primary school. Coach Padum Boro caught sight of him. This is where Lovlina’s life changed.
