    Noida-Ghaziabad News: The water of Ghaziabad, Noida adjacent to Delhi is not so clean in the same way. Every home needs to have a water purifier. Meanwhile, the news is that now 20 lakh people of Noida will not get the water of Ganga water supply for 20 days for 20 days. This situation happens every year. But so far no permanent solution to this problem has been found.

    Water treatment plant not yet installed

    Ganga Jal water is supplied to about 20 lakh people of many sectors of Ghaziabad and Noida. This time people will not get Ganga supply water even in Diwali due to which the general public will be upset. Due to the cleaning of Ganga canal every year, people have to face this problem of about 1 month, but till date no concrete solution has been taken by neither Ghaziabad administration nor Noida administration. There was talk of setting up a water treatment plant, tenders were floated several times but nothing happened.

    Highest revenue from Noida and Ghaziabad, but lack of basic facilities

    Noida and Ghaziabad, the show window of Uttar Pradesh, are the highest revenue generating districts. Despite this, the people here seem to be struggling with basic facilities. In which the shortage of clean drinking water can be seen clearly. When people do not get clean drinking water, then they will have to face many problems.

    Why is Noida’s water so polluted?

    There are many sectors of Ghaziabad and Noida which have not got Ganga water supply water till date. The reason behind the water being so contaminated here is that the TDS of the water here is so high that if you drink it, you will fall ill immediately. It may take you till you are admitted in the hospital. The TDS of water in Sector 93 of Noida remains above 1400. Whereas according to experts, the TDS of water should be from 50 to 150. Only then that water is potable. This condition is not only in Sector 93 of Noida, it is the condition of many sectors of Noida. Where people are struggling for the basic facility which is water. People also pay water bills and deposit money, but they do not have any luck to drink clean water.

    Why is the supply of Gangajal stopped?

    The supply of Gangajal gets affected every year during Dussehra. At this time, the canal is closed for cleaning the silt in the canal and a notice is issued about how long this canal will remain closed. Usually, water is released in the canal around Chhath Puja. Every year after the rains, the canal is closed to stop the sand debris etc. coming from the mountains. Failure to do so may result in damage to the machinery. Sometimes even the Gangajal plant has to be closed due to excessive siltation in the canal.

    Which area gets how much water

    Talking about Ganga water supply, there are two Gangajal plants in Pratap Vihar, Ghaziabad. From which Ganga water is supplied to many sectors of Ghaziabad and Noida. Of these, the capacity of one water plant is 100 cusecs and the capacity of the other plant is 50 cusecs. The 100 cusecs plant provides 80 cusecs to Noida, 15 cusecs to Indirapuram and 5 cusecs to Siddharth Vihar. Whereas from 50 cusecs plant 23 cusecs gets to Vasundhara, 20 to Noida and 7 cusecs of Ganga water to Indirapuram.
