New Delhi: BCCI has made a major change in the coaching staff of the Indian women’s cricket team. The Indian Cricket Board has appointed former Indian cricketer Hrishikesh Kanitkar as the batting coach of the women’s cricket team. Kanitkar will join the women’s team ahead of the upcoming 5-match home T20I series against Australia.

The Indian Cricket Board has made this change before India’s upcoming 5-match T20 series against Australia. Prior to this series, Kanitkar will join the women’s cricket team.

After this decision of the board, former cricketer Hrishikesh Kanitkar said, ‘It is an honor for me to join the senior women’s cricket team as a batting coach. I see tremendous potential in this team. Our women’s team has a good mix of youth and experience. Our team is all set for the upcoming challenge. There are some big tournaments coming up. My journey as batting coach with this team is going to be exciting.

Ramesh Pawar sent to NCA

At the same time, the Indian women’s cricket team’s head coach Ramesh Pawar has been sent to the National Cricket Academy by the Indian Cricket Board. After taking this decision of the board, Ramesh Pawar said that ‘My experience as the head coach of the senior women’s team was wonderful. In the recent past, I have worked with many legends and young budding players of the country. I would like to build on my years of experience in my new role at NCA. Very excited to work with VVS Laxman to develop bench strength.
