Mumbai : Today the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is going to be held in Mumbai, the financial capital of the country. In this meeting, Roger Binny will take over as the chairman of the board in place of former captain Sourav Ganguly. The last date for filing nominations for the post of ICC chairman is October 20. The ICC Board meeting will be held in Melbourne from 11 to 13 November. Other BCCI office-bearers who will be unanimously elected include Secretary Jay Shah, Ashish Shelar (Treasurer), Rajeev Shukla (Vice President) and Devjit Saikia (Joint Secretary). At the same time, the new chairman of the IPL will be Arun Dhumal, the outgoing treasurer.
After separating from the BCCI, questions are being raised on whether Sourav Ganguly will get the place of the top post of ICC, while the names of Sports Minister Anurag Thakur and former BCCI President N Srinivasan are also being named for Ganguly. It is included in the list of top posts.
