Yoga guru Baba Ramdev said on Sunday that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is our hero, not Akbar, Babur or Aurangzeb. Baba Ramdev addressed people at a function organized by the Goa government to celebrate the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Ponda district, southern Goa.
‘Glorification of Mughals in books’
Baba Ramdev said, “Most of the state board or NCERT books teach us wrong history. Mughals are glorified in these books. This has to change. Akbar, Babur or Aurangzeb are not our heroes. Our great hero Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj , Rana Pratap, Chandrashekhar Azad, Bhagat Singh and the ones who sacrificed their lives for the country.”
Ramdev spoke on the crisis in Pakistan
He said that the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was victorious. We should know this history. Ramdev said that Shivaji Maharaj never discriminated against any religion or class, but used to take everyone along. Speaking about the crisis in Pakistan, he said that the country would be divided into four parts. He said, “Pakistan is going through a financial crisis. Pakistan will soon be divided into four parts. It will remain a small country.”
