    Amethi: Double-Decker Bus Overturned On Purvanchal Expressway, More Than 30 People Injured, Driver Accused Of Negligence

    A double-decker bus lost control and overturned on Saturday morning on the Purvanchal Expressway in the Bazar Shukul police station area of ​​Amethi district. About 30 people, including women and children, were injured in this accident. The injured have been admitted to the Bazar Shukul Community Health Center. From there, some injured have been brought to the District Hospital Gauriganj in critical condition. The police have reached the spot and started investigation.

     

    A double-decker bus was going to Delhi from Muzaffarpur in Bihar. This bus is said to be of New India Travel. When the bus reached around kilometer 68 in Bazar Shukul police station area on Purvanchal Expressway at around 4:30 am on Saturday, the driver lost control and the bus went out of control and overturned. About 30 people including women and children were injured in the accident. Police reached the spot after getting information. With the help of local people, police took the injured to CHC Shukla Bazar. From where some people have been referred to the district hospital.

     

    It is said that there were about 70 to 80 people in the bus. Rajesh Kumar, a retired BSF jawan who was a passenger in the bus, said that the bus was carrying more passengers than its capacity.

    The driver was not driving the bus properly. He had also complained about this to the travel agency. Regarding the incident, the police station in-charge says that the injured are being treated at the CSC. Some people have been referred to the district hospital. The matter is being investigated.
