Digital Desk, Mumbai. Actor Akshay Oberoi is gearing up for his upcoming film ‘Fighter’, in which he will be seen alongside stars like Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone. The actor has put on 10 kgs for the role of an Air Force pilot in the film.
The actor took the opportunity to undergo this look transformation by training on his own instead of adopting the traditional way of training with a trainer. The results that the actor has achieved within three months of preparing for the role are quite impressive. Talking about the same, Akshay said, “I have been working extensively before and during the shooting of the film. I had to build muscles, for which I personally trained myself. I needed a massive physical frame to look suitable for the role of an Air Force pilot.”
The actor revealed that he did strength training with cardio in between to gain muscle. He said, “I am playing the role of an Air Force officer and his physical appearance has to match the character and hence I undertook to undergo this transformation as it was a necessity. He further added, “I had to undergo rigorous training for several months.”
‘Fighter’ is directed by superstar director Siddharth Anand, who earlier this year delivered one of the biggest Bollywood blockbusters ‘Pathan’.
Apart from this, Akshay will soon start work on the new season of ‘Broken News’ ‘Laal Rang 2’ and is waiting for the release of his film ‘Varchaswa’.
