Accident in Nalanda, death of a young man: Returning home with a friend on a bike, the truck collided; other serious

A bike-borne youth was hit by a truck on Tuesday evening near the Benar Power Grid on the Benar-Saksohara main road under Nalanda district. In this incident, a youth died on the spot. While another was seriously injured. After getting the information about the road accident, the villagers gathered on the spot and put the dead body on the road and blocked it. However, the police reached the spot and after persuading the family members, got the jam removed.

The deceased was identified as Siddharth Kumar (17) Sonu, son of Sandeep Mahato, resident of Amawan village of Bind police station area. While another injured has been identified as his friend Awadhi Kumar. The family told that Siddharth and Abhi Bind were returning home from the market. Meanwhile, an uncontrolled truck coming from the opposite direction hit him. In this incident, Siddharth died on the spot, while Abhi is still undergoing treatment in a private clinic. After the collision, the truck rammed into a roadside tree. After which the driver and the helper fled leaving the vehicle from the spot.

SHO Nadeem Akhtar told that the truck has been seized. The dead body has been taken into possession and sent to Sadar Hospital for postmortem. By registering a case on the basis of the vehicle number, the police has started taking further action.
