    Yusuf Pathan was born on 17 November 1982 in Vadodara city, Gujarat. Yusuf was born in a Gujarati Pathan family. His father Mahmud Khan used to live in the mosque. His younger brother, Irfan Pathan was also an Indian cricketer. This is where both the brothers used to practice cricket. He made his debut for India in the year 2001-02. Pathan retired from all formats of cricket in February 2021.

    Yusuf Pathan took entry in the Indian team from T20 International cricket. He played his first T20 match against Pakistan on 4 September 2007 under the T20 World Cup. In this match, he scored 15 runs in eight balls with the help of a four and a six. At the same time, his last T20 International match was against South Africa on 30 March 2012.

    Yusuf played his first ODI for India on 10 June 2008 against Pakistan in Dhaka. He managed to score three runs in 12 balls in this match. At the same time, he played his last ODI against Pakistan in Dhaka on 18 March 2012. In this match, he spent 30 runs while bowling five overs, but he did not get any success.

    Yusuf Pathan has not played a single Test for India, but he was a master of T20 cricket. Former Indian all-rounder Yusuf Pathan entered the Indian Premier League (IPL) record books on March 13, 2010. It was the day the then Rajasthan Royals star scored a century in just 37 balls against the Sachin Tendulkar-led Mumbai Indians.

    Yusuf Pathan has registered a big record while batting at number eight in ODI cricket. In fact, Yusuf’s name is the record of scoring the most (123 *) runs in an innings while batting at number eight.

    Yusuf Pathan’s innings remained the fastest century in IPL history until 2013 when a certain Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batsman decided to rewrite history. Pathan’s Cricket Academy was jointly launched by Yusuf and Irfan Pathan. The academy has tied up with former India coach Greg Chappell and Cameron Tredell as chief mentors. He also appointed Huzaifa Pathan as a coach for the academy. Chappell coached the academy coaches.

    Along with Yusuf’s game, his personal life has also been very interesting. He had given his heart to the physio to whom he had gone for fitness. He married a girl named Afreen on 27 March 2013. His wife Afreen grew up in Mumbai and is a physiotherapist by profession.
