Youth shot dead in Patna City: Controversy over playing Gulal during cultural program, miscreants fired

Patna City: Criminals shot dead a young man on Thursday night. The matter is of outer Dhavalpura under the bypass police station area. The criminals carried out the incident in a dispute over playing Gulal. In a hurry, people took him to Nalanda Medical College Hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him brought dead.

After the incident, sensation spread in the entire area. After getting the information, the police of Bypass police station reached the spot, took the dead body in their possession and sent it for postmortem. Further action has been initiated. The deceased has been identified as Manjat Kumar (35 years), a resident of Dhawalpura.

Regarding the incident, the family members of the deceased told that a cultural program was organized on Thursday late night near Bahri Dhawalpura regarding the Basiura festival. On this occasion, some boys started playing gulal with each other. Some boys clashed with each other over this matter. In this sequence, a young man opened fire on Manjay Kumar. Manjay fell there as soon as the bullet hit him. The young man who shot ran away from there.

As soon as people got information about firing there, there was a stampede at the venue. People started running here and there. In a hurry, people admitted Manjay Kumar to Nalanda Medical College Hospital in Patna for treatment, where doctors declared him brought dead. It is being told that Manjay Kumar was hit by two bullets and died during treatment. After the incident, Amit Kumar, in-charge of the bypass police station, told that the reason for the incident was due to mutual gulal. He has said to identify the youth who fired.
