On Monday, a young man died after being hit by a goods train engine at the Court railway station in Purnia. The death was so terrible that the young man’s body and body were separated. As soon as the incident took place, there was panic at the railway station.
By the time the people present at the station reached, the young man had died. People informed about the incident to the Government Railway Police located at Purnia Railway-Station. As soon as the information was received, the Railway Police reached the spot and started investigating the matter. At the same time, the police has identified the body.
The deceased has been identified as Amrit Raj alias Sagar Kumar Jha (22 years), son of Kalyan Kumar Jha, a resident of Chandwa village under Falka police station area of Katihar district. Police sent the body to the medical college for post-mortem. On hearing the news of the death, there was chaos in the family. Dussehra festival turned into mourning in the family.
The relatives of the deceased told that Amrit’s uncle and some family members live near Walal Chowk in Purnia. He had left home for Purnia on Sunday evening to meet uncle and aunt. But he did not reach the family till late evening.
The family members did a lot of research in the night. But nowhere to be found. The death was reported after the Railway Police gave information. It is not yet known how Amit Raj reached Purnia railway station. Railway Police is probing the matter. The relatives told that Amrit Raj was studying in Intermediate. He was often studying by staying with his uncle and aunt.
