Youth dies after drowning in puddle in Banka: Accident occurred while bathing at Chhath Ghat, local people took out the dead body after much effort

During Chhath Puja in Banka, a youth died due to drowning while bathing at the ghat. The accident happened on Sunday evening. But his body was pulled out of the pond on Monday morning. After about three hours of effort, the body was pulled out from the pond with the help of local people.

The accident took place at Fuwasa Pokhar Ghat of Amarpur police station area. People told that on Sunday evening, 20-year-old son of Mahmadpur Chhote Lal Das, Shukkr Kumar alias Ritesh Kumar had gone to Chhath Ghat in Phulvasa Pokhar to offer Arghya along with his family members. He started bathing in the pond before offering Arghya. During this the accident happened. The young man drowned in the pond.

In the evening the locals tried to find him. But he could not be traced due to darkness. After this, the local people got down in the pond from the early morning of Monday. The dead body was pulled out of the pond after about three hours of effort. After this incident, there is a furore among the family members. Chhote Lal Das told that his son had gone to the pond to offer Arghya. During this the accident happened.
