    new Delhi: ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 is going to be held in South Africa in the year 2023. The BCCI has announced the Indian team for this big tournament next year. The command of the 15-member team has been handed over to Harmanpreet Kaur. At the same time, the vice-captain of the team will be Smriti Mandhana. The Women’s T20 World Cup is scheduled to begin on February 10. The first match of this tournament is going to be between South Africa and Sri Lanka.

    Before the T20 World Cup, the Indian team will participate in the T20 series of three countries. This tri-series is also going to be played in South Africa only. The BCCI has also announced an 18-member squad for this tri-series. However, fast bowler Pooja Vastrakar can join the squad only after passing the fitness test. Apart from India, South Africa, West Indies team will also participate in this tri-series. This series will start from 19 January. Harmanpreet Kaur will be the captain of the Indian team for this series as well.

    Let us tell you that in the T20 World Cup, the Indian team will play its first match against Pakistan on February 12 in Cape Town. Group-2 has England, West Indies, Pakistan and Ireland along with India. Whereas, the top two teams of the group will qualify for the semi-finals. The final of the tournament will be played in Cape Town on 26 February.
