In Jamui, a woman died after being buried in a mudslide. The deceased has been identified as Kari Devi, wife of Puran Yadav, resident of Baghma village of Laxmipur block. It is said that Kari Devi along with her neighbors had gone to nearby Bahiyar to fetch soil for Chhath Puja on Tuesday when she was extracting the soil.

While digging the soil, the woman got buried under the rubble due to the fall. Which was taken out by other women and brought to Laxmipur Hospital for treatment. Puran Yadav, the husband of the deceased, told that for the preparation of Chhath Puja, his wife had gone to fetch soil from a nearby field, when she became a victim of the accident.
