    Arvind Kumar Tripathi: In Prayagraj, Don Brothers Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf were shot dead in police custody on the late night of 15 April. The Yogi Adityanath government of the state has constituted a three-member inquiry commission to investigate this massacre.

    The inquiry committee constituted by the Home Department on the instructions of the Chief Minister will be headed by retired judge of the Allahabad High Court, Arvind Kumar Tripathi. At the same time, the detailed investigation report of this entire massacre will be given to the Yogi government in two months. Let’s know about Arvind Kumar Singh…

    Arvind Kumar Tripathi obtained his law degree in the year 1973 from Jiwaji University, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. After this, in 1974, Arvind Tripathi started the practice of advocacy. While practicing law, he was also in the Higher Judicial Service from 1978 to 1996.

    According to media reports, Arvind Kumar Tripathi was promoted as District-Sessions Judge in the year 2007. Elevated as Additional Judge in Allahabad High Court on 17th April, 2012. After this, he became a permanent judge on August 06, 2013 and worked as a justice in the Allahabad High Court till January 8, 2015.

    Please tell, Arvind Kumar Tripathi has now retired. But, under his chairmanship, there will be an inquiry into the murder of Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf. Retired IPC officer Subesh Kumar Singh and retired District Judge Brijesh Kumar Soni are also involved in this investigation.

    Brijesh Kumar Soni is a retired District Judge and has also been Additional Legal Advisor and Additional District Judge in the state. Earlier, the government had placed him in the five-member committee of the Other Backward Classes Commission. This commission had submitted its report by conducting a triple test for reservation for the OBC class in the body elections.

    Tell that on the basis of that report, the Yogi government of the state has fixed OBC reservation in the government body elections. Subesh Kumar Singh, who became an IPS in 1984 and retired from the crime branch, is also included in this inquiry commission.
