Devotees carry mother on shoulder for immersion in Pethiya market of Phulwari Sharif
For 100 years, worship is being done by installing idols in Navratri at Shri Durgasthan, Pethia Bazar of Phulwari Sharif in Patna. At that time the prominent freedom fighter Motilal had started it with great frills. The idol of Mother Goddess Durga was installed in a small place. At that time people from all sections of the society actively participated in this worship. Local elder Murari Lahkar tells that the bricks from the brick laden bullock cart passing through this route were donated for the construction of the temple.
