What is the case of Fake Fielding
Bangladesh players say that this incident happened on the second ball of the 7th over during their batting. Liton Das was running till the striker’s end when Arshdeep Singh threw the ball towards Dinesh Karthik from deep. During this, Virat Kohli did something which is wrong. As Arshdeep’s throw was moving towards Karthik, Kohli did the throwing action even though he was not in contact with the ball. This is called fake fielding. It is alleged that even after the complaint, the umpire ignored the ‘fake fielding’. Explain that five extra runs are given as a penalty for ‘fake fielding’.
