Bus fell into gorge
Uttarakhand News: Heavy casualties are feared when a bus carrying 45-50 people fell into a 500-metre gorge in Birkhal area of Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand on Tuesday evening. The disaster control room gave this information. So far 6 people have been rescued and sent to the hospital. The vehicle was on its way from Laldhang to a village in Bironkhal when the bus carrying guests of the wedding ceremony crashed near Simri Mor.
According to the control room, the accident took place around 7.30 pm. Rescue operations have been started with the help of local people, but the rescue workers are facing difficulties due to darkness. Eyewitnesses said that there was no lighting at the accident site and residents of the village were trying to rescue the people trapped in the bus with the help of flashlights on their mobile phones. He said the casualties could have been higher in the accident. However, top officials have reached the spot and further information is awaited.
Maharashtra: 44 students injured as bus falls into gorge
At the same time, in the past, a bus fell into a ditch in Ambegaon of Pune tehsil in Maharashtra. 44 students and three teachers were injured in the accident. The students were on their way from Pimplegaon to Girwali, which is about 45 km from Pune city. The incident happened at a turning point. The bus fell into a gorge 100-150 feet deep. All 44 students aboard the bus, three teachers, the driver and the bus assistant were injured. Seven-eight students were admitted to a hospital in Manchar.
