Uproar of addicts reached the police station in Nalda: Said – my brother-in-law is harassed, also created a ruckus in the hospital

An alcoholic did a high voltage drama on Thursday in Rahui police station under Nalanda district. He was intoxicated. On reaching the police station, he said that his brother-in-law tortures him. Saying this he fell intoxicated. When the policemen tried to apprehend him, there was a ruckus. Somehow the police got hold of him.

The drunk has been identified as Surat Ram of Mirzapur village under the police station area. He said that his wife lives in her maternal home. When he goes to leave, the in-laws make him run away. The brother-in-law tortures her and does not send off her sister. That’s why he went to the police to plead.

Somehow the policemen overpowered him. He was brought to Sadar Hospital for medical examination. Here too he made a lot of ruckus. When the intoxication subsided, he started pleading with folded hands in front of the policemen to leave. Rahui SHO Nandan Kumar Singh said that the medical examination has confirmed the consumption of alcohol. He has been presented in the court.
