UP News: In Uttar Pradesh, the rain that has been raining for several days is becoming a problem for the people. People are facing the problem of water logging. It has also been raining continuously for the last three days in Agra in the state, due to which the problem of water logging remains here too. Streets and houses in many areas have been flooded. People have changed the names of the colonies due to the foul smell emanating from the stagnant water.

Residents also put up a board with the changed name

The names of about half a dozen colonies in Agra have been changed. Residents of various colonies in Agra have renamed their colonies as ‘Narak Puri, Mudh Nagar, Ghinona Nagar, Nala Sarovar, Badgha Nagar, Dungandh Sheen Colony and Negrant Nagar’ to protest against various issues including bad condition of roads, water logging. Not only this, the residents of these colonies have also got a board of the changed name installed.

‘Even after complaining it is not being rectified’

People say that the roads here are bad and the rain water is always there. People say that even after complaining to the administration and public representatives, it is not being rectified, so we are compelled to do so after getting upset. Local people say that leaders come here only to seek votes and then disappear. People say that the names of the colonies have been changed to protest against the bad roads and water logging.

However, when the administration got information about this, the officials of Agra Development Authority reached the spot and these posters and boards were removed. The officer said not to put up such posters again.
