    ULIP: The Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP) launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi under the National Logistics Policy (NLP) on September 17 has received a good response from the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Ministry. So far, 13 organizations – MapMy India, Cargo Exchange, Freight Fox, Conmove, IntuJign, Econtech, Yes Bank, SuperProcure, Cargo Shakti, Cloud Straits, ShiffLite, ApseG and AITWA – have entered into non-disclosure agreements (Non-Disclosure Agreements) ( NDA) has been signed.

    Agreements with 11 more organizations in process – Government

    The Ministry of Industry said that MoUs are in process with 11 more organizations like Instavans & Trucks, Bosch India, PortLinks, Shiprocket etc. Startups are gearing up to showcase their innovative ideas to create innovative solutions for the sector, while large enterprises are looking at integrating with ULIPs to simplify complex logistics processes, verify vendors documents .

    According to the ministry, ULIP is a promising initiative in the logistics sector that aims to make it easier to do business in the logistics sector by simplifying the logistics process, improving its efficiency, bringing transparency and reducing logistics cost and time.

    30 systems from seven ministries integrated through more than 100 APIs

    ULIPs will enable the industry players to have secure access to information related to logistics and resources available with various ministries. At present, 30 systems across seven ministries have been integrated through more than 100 APIs, comprising more than 1600 data fields for use by stakeholders.

    What is ULIP?

    ULIPs have a dedicated portal which makes the process of data request simple, fast and transparent. A dedicated support team is working round the clock to provide assistance to the industry players for registering on the portal. After registration, users are required to submit their use-cases, which will then be reviewed based on the proposed use of the requested data. After successful review, users requesting for data will have to sign NDA.

    With the signing of the NDA, industry players can develop APIs for integration with ULIPs. After a thorough system security check and integration test, users can access authentic data through ULIPs from various government sources.
