Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine apologized
Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Minister Emine Zhaparova said, “Ukrainian Defense Ministry has posted a distorted picture of Mother Goddess Kali, we deeply regret it. And this European country “respects the unique Indian culture and seeks support from India”. highly appreciates”.
Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Minister has tweeted an apology at a time when Ukraine started feeling that anger in India is increasing continuously. Indian people started saying that India has done right by not helping Ukraine and now India will help Russia in the war.
At the same time, Kanchan Gupta, senior advisor to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, described the picture as an “attack on Hindu sentiments” and demanded an apology from Ukraine for the objectionable picture. Many Indians have criticized the Ukrainian government, saying that after asking for help from India, Ukraine is insulting Kali Maa, the goddess revered by Hindus.
