New Delhi: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has made a big announcement. The board has announced the hosts of the ICC U19 events. From 2024 to 2027, the U19 tournament will be hosted by Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Thailand, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Bangladesh and Nepal. The ICC has approved the holding of U19 tournaments in these countries, which includes both men’s and women’s cricket events.
The ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2024 has been hosted by Sri Lanka. While the 2026 edition will be held in Zimbabwe and Namibia. The ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup will be held in Malaysia and Thailand in 2025. Apart from this, the 2027 U19 Women’s T20 World Cup will be held jointly in Bangladesh and Nepal.

The host countries are selected through a competitive bidding process overseen by a board sub-committee chaired by Martin Snedden. The ICC Board has accepted the recommendations of the committee. Where, along with the ICC Management, there was a thorough review of each bid. The qualification pathway for the 10-team ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 has also been approved.
