Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has extended his best wishes for this tournament. Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar said in his message, “I would say that the Indian women’s team has the potential to be one of the best this time around. The team has a good balance of some experienced players and some young talents in both the batting and bowling departments.”

Sachin Tendulkar wrote in a BCCI column, “The U-19 Women’s Tournament is happening for the first time, from which there are lot of expectations. I believe this can change the picture of women’s cricket as young women cricketers will get a lot of learning and experience from a global platform. The Master Blaster also said that while women’s cricket has made a lot of progress, there are still areas to grow. Women’s cricket will get new strengths from this tournament.
