    In Katihar, on the Ashtami of Shardiya Navratri, as soon as the posts of temples and puja pandals open, crowds of devotees have started pouring in for darshan and worship. Till late night, devotees along with their families are reaching Durga Mandir Puja Pandal to have darshan of Mata. Various puja committees have also made better arrangements for the convenience of the devotees. Apart from the security arrangements from the administrative level, the members of the committee are also prepared for the security of the pandal and its surroundings.

    Puja pandal is based on different themes

    The message of making people aware of the environment is being given by the Club of India by constructing a pandal made of bamboo. On the other hand, the cultural glimpse of India has been shown by the Saheb Pada Puja Committee by making an attractive cave-like worship pandal. A pandal has been constructed by Bania Tola Puja Committee on the lines of Kedarnath Dham temple.

    At the same time, an attractive pandal in the form of a boat has been made by Sangharsh Club in Chuna Gali. Apart from this, Dholak Puja pandal has been made by LWC Puja Committee based in Dehria, Sangram Chowk Puja Committee, New Sangharsh Club, Yagyashala Puja Committee, Kalibari Puja Committee, Airport Puja Committee. Which is attracting the devotees towards it.

    The color of the fair faded in the rain

    On the morning of Durga Ashtami, the clouds made their camp in the sky. Incessant rain of 1 hour in the afternoon and torrential rain accompanied by strong thunderstorms in the late evening spoiled the enthusiasm of the devotees. The color of the fair organized in the LWC Club premises including the same public Durga Mandir, Badi Durga Sthan and Sarvamangala Durga Sthan also faded.

    There was panic among the devotees who reached the fair. Disappointment fell on the face of the operators of various stalls engaged in the fair. He told that after 2 years of Corona epidemic, Durga Puja was eagerly awaited. There was a lot of happiness among the traders who came from faraway areas for the preparation of the fair. Eagerly waiting for the day of Navami and Dashami.
