Today is Vijayadashami. This day is celebrated to mark the victory of good over evil. On this occasion, “Ravana Vadh” ceremony will be organized at Gandhi Maidan in the capital on Wednesday. People from far and wide come to Patna to see this program.
There is a huge crowd of people inside Gandhi Maidan. Because of this, the district administration and traffic police have specially prepared the route plan to control the crowd. Don’t get into any trouble unnecessarily. So check the traffic plan before leaving the house. Read it and understand it. Because, the traffic plan will be applicable from 1 pm till the end of the rush.
Here is the traffic plan
1. No vehicle will go from Bhattacharya Chauraha towards North Gandhi Maidan.
2. The route from Dakbangla Chauraha to JP Golambar (Gandhi Maidan) will be reserved only for VIPs to leave and return.
3. Trains will be allowed from Dakbangla Square to New Dakbangla Road, Bhattacharya Mod towards Rajendra Path.
4. No vehicle will go from New Dakbangla Road to SP Verma Road. There will be a complete ban on operations.
5. The road between JP Golambar to Children Park will be reserved. Normal traffic on this route will be completely closed.
6. Vehicles will not go from Golambar to AN Sinha Institute/Gandhi Maidan in front of Commissioner’s office on Ganga Path.
7. Trains will also not ply from Ramgoolam Chowk (South Gandhi Maidan) towards West, JP Golambar.
8. On the way from JP Golambar to Dakbangla Square and from Dakbangla Chauraha to Patna Junction Golambara, there will be no parking of any type of car and handcart on the road. Even a spoon will not work.
9. There will be no parking of any type of car and handcart on the road from Ramgoolam Chowk to the entire exhibition road. It won’t even work. The same arrangement will be done from DM Residence (Children Park) to Police Line Tiraha, roadside area outside Gandhi Maidan and inside Gandhi Maidan as well.
10. No vehicle will go from Thakurbari More towards Bakarganj Mod i.e. West Gandhi Maidan.
11. All the cuttings of Hotel Panas, Twin Towers and Maurya Hotel will also stop the movement of any type of vehicle from Gandhi Maidan side.
12. Vehicles will also not go west (Kargil Chowk) from Govind Mitra Road Mod in Ashok Rajpath.
13. Rickshaw, handcart, auto and slow moving vehicles from Bailey Road towards Gandhi Maidan will be diverted from Income Tax Golambar to right Virchand Patel Path.
14. Route going from Kotwali “T” to Police Line Tiraha in Budhmarg towards East (Gandhi Maidan) will remain closed. No vehicle will run.
15. Trains coming from Patna City via Ashok Rajpath towards Gandhi Maidan and Patna Junction will go from Gandhi Chowk via Bhikhna hill turn to Baripath, Machuatoli to Dinkar Golambara, Nala Road, Apsara Golumber, CDA building till Patna Junction.
16. All types of trains coming from Danapur towards Gandhi Maidan will be diverted from Rajapur Bridge towards Left Boring Road intersection.
17. All trains coming from Patna Junction to Gandhi Maidan will be diverted from Patna Junction to Dakbangla. From there you will take a right turn and proceed from New Dakbangla Road via Bhattacharya intersection, from Bhattacharya Mor to CDA building via Goriyatoli.
18. The organizers have issued a pass to attend the Ravana slaughter program. Pass holder vehicles will be allowed till the parking at the venue. But, the return will be after the end of the program and after the crowd is over.

District administration’s special appeal to parents
The district administration has made a special appeal to the parents who bring the children along. They have been told that if they bring children to the program, then they must put their mobile number and full address of the house in their pocket by writing on the paper. So that it can be used in the separation of children in the crowd or in the unavoidable situation.
