PM Narendra Modi will flag off the Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express and the Chennai-Coimbatore Vande Bharat Express on Saturday (April 08). After flagging off, Indian Railways will start operating two more Vande Bharat Express trains from today. PM Modi is on a tour of Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka on 8 and 9 April.
Today, PM Modi will flag off the Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express at Secunderabad Railway Station. The Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express is the second Vande Bharat train to be introduced from Telangana within three months. The Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express will connect IT City Hyderabad to Lord Venkateswara Tirupati Balaji. The train will reduce the travel time between the two cities by about three and a half hours and will be especially beneficial for the pilgrims.
PM Narendra Modi will flag off the Chennai-Coimbatore Vande Bharat Express during a ceremony at MGR Chennai Central Railway Station. Chennai-Coimbatore Vande Bharat Express will cover the distance between Chennai and Coimbatore at 495.28 in 6 hrs 10 mins. This train will stop at Tiruppur, Erode and Salem. The train will run on all days except Wednesday.
