The matter is four years old i.e. 14 October 2018. The court had closed the case on the basis of the declaration of death filed by the father. Today the accused reached the court to surrender.

Actually, teacher Neeraj Modi, resident of Ishipur Barahat of Bhagalpur Pirpainti, had raped a minor of his school student in the year 2018. After this, a case was registered in the matter under the POCSO Act. To avoid punishment, the teacher created a false drama of his own death. The accused’s father Rajaram Modi also played along in this play.

Then he was presented in the court. After this, the court closed the file of the case considering the accused as dead. Thereafter the accused disappeared. Thus the accused and his father had fooled the police, the BDO, the court and the victim’s family all.

Victim’s mother did not keep silent for justice

Here, the victim’s mother did not remain silent to get justice for her daughter. She suspected that her daughter’s accused was still alive. The victim’s mother was aware that the father of the accused had played a trick to save his son. After which the victim’s mother complained to the BDO that a false death certificate had been made from her office.

After this, the BDO set up an inquiry regarding this matter. The matter came to light on May 21 this year, after which a case of cheating was registered against the teacher’s father. Within 24 hours his father was arrested. Then the BDO canceled the death certificate of the accused. Along with this, the father was sent to jail in the case of cheating. The father of the accused is still in jail.

The accused surrendered himself after the truth came out

Accused Neeraj could not make himself underground for long after his father went to jail. Reached the court on Monday and surrendered himself. After this the accused Neeraj has been sent to judicial custody for the time being.
