In the Shankarpur police station area of ​​​​Madhepura Sadar subdivision, a robber was injured late in the evening due to the bullet of his own companion. In relation to the incident, it is said that a youth was shot in the chest during the robbery by armed criminals near the Banana plantation east of Lalpur bridge on Singheshwar-Shankarpur road.

The injured youth, Madheli resident Rajesh Kumar, was brought to Shankarpur PHC for treatment, from where he was referred to the Higher Center after first aid. Before falling unconscious, the injured youth told that he was passing west of Maujma petrol pump. During this, two people surrounded him near the bush and shot him, leaving him in a wounded condition and fled. He also revealed the identity of the two youths.

After some time, a youth named Ranjit Kumar reached Shankarpur police station, who identified the youth as the one who robbed him. He told that these people were on bike in number 3. After which the matter was revealed, at present the police has taken the injured youth to the Higher Center for treatment. In this regard, SDPO Ajay Narayan Yadav said that the police is investigating the matter.
