The water level of Ganga-Gandak river in Khagaria is increasing day by day. Due to this, the floods in the month of Kartik broke the record of the last 50 years. According to the district administration, Kosi and Bagmati rivers are below the danger mark but Ganga and Budhi Gandak are flowing above the danger mark.
Due to the continuous increase in the water level of Ganga and Gandak, the problems of the people of the affected areas have started increasing. Burjug Jayanandan Yadav of Rahimpur Dakshin Panchayat of Sadar Block said that the floods in the month of Kartik broke the record of the last 50 years. In the month of Kartik, the flood water used to go back to the river. But this time water is flowing over the village road. Life has become hectic. From the food and drink of the people to the education of the children, everything has been disrupted.
People say that cattle are not getting fodder. This condition is not only of the village, but dozens of people of many wards of the village are in the grip of floods. Apart from the city, water has entered the low lying areas of many villages of Gogri and Parbatta blocks. Told that in the last 7 days, the happy roads were taken by Ganga and old Gandak in their arms.

Ward councilor Ranveer Kumar said that the flood victims are taking shelter on the dam due to the rise in the water level of Ganga-Gandak. Told that people used to travel with the help of tubes, where there is a possibility of accident. On the other hand, Arvind Yadav of Rahimpur Dakshin Panchayat has demanded the arrangement of the district administration government boat. Told that most of the school children are getting it. Half yearly examination is going on in the school. Here, CO Pradeep Kumar said that there has been an increase in the water level of the rivers, after assessing the government facility will be provided.

Farmed by taking loan, vegetable crop was destroyed before production
In the villages of Gogri block which have been engulfed by the flood, flood water has started knocking in many houses. In Rampur Bahiyar, the crop of vegetables of the farmers has also been affected by the floods. In Rampur, the flood water has entered the fields of farmers including cabbage, radish, carrot, green greens, okra, bitter gourd and other vegetables. Vegetable crops are on the verge of destruction. The corn crop is also being affected by the floods. Vegetable farmers say that they had cultivated vegetables by taking loans.
Crops were destroyed before the harvest due to flood waters. Due to the flood, the crisis of flood continues in Mirganj and Sharda Nagar of the Municipal Council including Gogri’s Banni, Jhikatiya, Borna, Gogri, Rampur, and Ithari Panchayats. People from other villages affected by the floods in Gogri have started preparing in view of the floods. People are also securing food and drink items in view of the floods. Due to the continuous increase in the water level of Ganga and Gandak for several days, six panchayats of Gogri and Mirganj and Sharda Nagar of Nagar Parishad area are facing flood crisis. A rise in the water level was also recorded on Monday.
